Tutor Guide







1:Quick registration

Look to the left hand side there is a section given named as “Quick Registration”. Fill in the entries your name, email address and your phone number. Check the tutor check box and click register. Next you will get a confirmation message that an email has been sent to you on your provided email address with your login details and the next steps.

2:Login/Password Change/Add Role

To login in with ensigntutor is very simple there is a login area at the top. Just enter your email address and the password. Note: when you first login in you will be entering the password given to you in the email concerning registration from ensigntutor. If you are logging in for the first time you will be presented with a screen to change your password with the one your like to have. On this screen you will be asked to enter the old password and the new password, the new password must be of at least 6 characters long. When you finish this step you will be taken to your dashboard.

3:Tutor Dashboard

For your ease ensigntutor has provided a dashboard area where you can easily accomplish certain tasks and perform activities. Here you will see the status of your current registration whether as tutor or student. Also on the right side above the screen you will again see a link to change your password. Plus under it you will see a link to named “Add Role”. The add role link will allow you to register as tutor or student if you haven’t register with both. There is also a bar that indicates how much of your profile has been completed in percents. In the middle section of dashboard you will be seeing 6 sections.
a) Requested Topics
b) Scheduled Tuitions
c) Knowledge Requests
d) Fee Negotiations
e) Favorite Students
f) Free Resources

4:Requested Topics

In requested topics area you will be seeing a list of requests being made from the students for their desire topics. Clicking more will take you to screen where you can see complete list of the current student requests. We will explore more this in showing interest section.

5:Scheduled Tuitions

The Scheduled Tuitions area will show your scheduled tuitions.

6:Knowledge Requests

Ensigntutor call this area NAK (Non Academic Knowledge) Pool. Under this area you can see the requested knowledge areas topics from different users. NAK terminology is used in a way that if a person wants to teach a specific skill or anything that is outside of normal course offerings then he/she can do so using NAK Pool area. For example if a person wants to teach how to fix a puncture then he can offer this topic using the NAK Pool. Any thing which is taught able may be lie in this area.

7:Fee Negotiations

If a student wants to negotiate the topic fee with you then you can use this area to go on with the negotiation phase. Remember! Each student’s negotiation is hidden from the rest. This way you can have separate negotiations with all.

8:Favorite Students

If you like good students then you can mark them as your favorites. Similar feature goes with from the student’s perspective for tutors.

10:Profile Completion

On the dashboard where you see the bar indicates your profile completion in terms of percentage you will also given a link” Please complete your profile” to complete your profile. Clicking this link will take you to the steps involved in the profile completion, which are as follows:

Step-2(Education)
Step-3(Experience)
Step-4(Miscellaneous)
Step-5(Preferences)
Let’s explore these steps in detail
Step-1(Personal Info) As the name suggests that you will be required to enter your personal details here. Notice the fields mark with * are mandatory and must be filled before moving to next step. When you click next button you will go to next step.

 

Step-2(Education) In this step you are required to enter your educational details. It’s always a good idea to enter details for your most recent education first. All the fields are easy to understand on this page. There is a field with the name “Division/Grade/Percentage/GPA” often universities and institutions have different criteria to quantify your degree, therefore you can enter division/grade/percentage/GPA according to their standards. When you click the add button your education record will be added and display in the Academic Record gird above.

 

Step-3(Experience) Entering experience details has made quite easy for you. Just enter title/post/designation and the organization name along with the time you had in that organization. Note: if you are currently employed on the job then you can enter the current month and year. The field is for description, you can enter job description or anything worth mentioning on your job. Click the add button to save this record. You can add as many experience details as you want.

 

Step-4(Miscellaneous) This step of profile completion is important. This is actually your main promotional area. On this page the first section is “Supplementary Info”. In here you can browse your computer hard disk and select from there your recorded voice sample, movie and profile photo. You can also enter some summary of your competency in the description field. The next section on this page is “My Availability”. This section will allow you enter your weekday’s availability timings. You can mention your Peak Hours and Off Peak hours as well for a particular weekday. When you click the add button you data will be saved. The last section on this page is split into two areas i) Fee Variance Formula for (Classroom Tuitions) ii) Fee Variance Formula for (Individual Tuitions) The variance formula works to cater ensigntutor demand and supply feature. If on a particular topic there is good response from students and they are being enrolled in then the tutor see this as high demand situation and can typed in the fields given to percentage increase the fee when a certain numbers of students happened to be enrolled. Similarly when there are quite few students enrolled with the topic then the tutor see this as low demand situation and he/she can typed in the discount when the numbers of enrolled students are below to certain figure set. Note: The fee you will set here is for per student either for classroom or individual.

 

Step-5(Preferences) This is the final step in profile completion. Here you can actually select your desired topic which you want to offer/teach. This page has 2 sections.

i)Offered Courses
ii)NAK Offers

All the entries are straight forward in the Offered Courses section you can also select the level of complexity you wish to offer. Clicking the add button will consequently save the records in the Offered Courses and NAK Offers grids respectively. When you are done with your profile completion click finish, you will be taken to dashboard.

11:Show interest to teach-Normal Course Requests

To Show interest in teaching a particular topic you first need to click the “more...” link in the Requested Topics area of the dashboard. Doing this will take you to the page where you can see the complete list of requested topics from students. At the end of each row there is a show interest button. If you want to fulfill a particular request then you need to click the show interest button. A message will be displayed that your interest has been notified to the student who has requested the topic.

12:Show interest to teach-NAK Pool Offers Requests

To Show interest to teach a NAK topic you first need to click the “more...” link in the NAK Requests area of the dashboard. Doing this will take you to the page where you can see two sections

i)NAK Offers
ii)NAK Requests

NAK Offers gird consists of the available offered NAK topics by users. If you want to get enrolled with a particular NAK Offer then you simply need to click the show enroll button at the end of the row. From the tutor perspective you can also add a NAK Offer by clicking the “Post New Offer” button. NAK Requests gird shows you the available requested topics by users. If you want to teach a particular NAK topic then you simple need to click the “add to offer” button at the end of the row. Also, if you are interested to request a new NAK topic you can do that by clicking the “Post New Request” button. Note: All this process is being moderated.
